Track & rollers
When a roller comes out of the track or the door jams sideways, homeowners often see a door hanging at an angle. Don't shove it back in and hit the remote — that bends tracks and crushes rollers.
Stop using the opener. Keep kids and cars clear. A technician will reseat rollers, check track alignment, and inspect springs and cables that may have caused the derailment.
Impact (including backing into the door), loose track brackets, or worn rollers can bend the track. Rubbing or scraping noises often show up before a full derailment.
